Pet Talk Tuesday: If You Were Given a Dream, It Only Has to Belong to You

Today we released our first episode of My Story Is Not Unique.

And before I tell you what that means, I want to say this first—clearly, plainly, without softening it:

If you were given a dream, no one else has to believe in it but you.

Not your friends. Not your family. Not the algorithm. Not the people who love you but don’t understand you.

Just you.

That’s not loneliness. That’s ownership.

So many of us wait for permission to begin. We wait for confirmation, applause, clarity, or proof that it will “work.” We wait until the dream sounds respectable enough, polished enough, successful enough to say out loud.

But dreams don’t arrive that way.

They arrive quietly.

They arrive inconveniently.

They arrive when your life already feels full, heavy, complicated.

They arrive when you’re tired. When you’re scared. When you’re not sure you’re brave enough.

And still they arrive.

That’s how you know they’re yours.

My Story Is Not Unique was born out of that kind of arrival. Not from certainty. Not from confidence. But from a deep, steady knowing that stories matter even when they don’t look impressive from the outside.

Especially then.

This podcast isn’t about celebrity arcs or highlight reels. It’s about regular people. People whose lives don’t fit neatly into bios or promotions. People who’ve had to make meaning inside systems. People who survived, adapted, stayed, left, rebuilt, or simply kept going when no one was watching.

It’s about identity. Silence.Courage.Reinvention.

The quiet decisions that shape a life.

Releasing our first episode today isn’t a finish line, it’s a declaration.

A declaration that stories don’t need to be extraordinary to be sacred. That your voice doesn’t need permission to exist. That you are allowed to begin before you feel ready.

So here’s your Pet Talk Tuesday reminder gentle but firm:

You don’t owe the world proof before you begin.

You don’t need a consensus to take your first step.

You don’t need to explain the dream to protect it.

You just need to honor it.

If this podcast resonates with you, if you’ve ever felt like your story didn’t count unless it was impressive, polished, or successful enough, this space was made for you.

Welcome.

We’re just getting started.

I’m sitting in a space right now where something has become painfully clear to me: The world isn’t always about helping you find your voice. Sometimes, it’s about learning how to shut it down. No — no
